Reserva Tres Rios contains ten Beautiful ocean view lots from $70,000 - $80,000. All building lots have municipal water and electricity, easy road access, full-time caretaker, use of our 60 acre private nature reserve, abundant wildlife....and much more.

To create a community of likeminded owners in which we are all thoughtful stewards of the nature Reserve, the wildlife that roams beyond the Reserve’s boundaries, and our own individual lots.

Lot #1 affords spectacular ocean and mountain views. There is a large, flat, solid, main building site, and an additional space on a ridge for a pool, guest house or yoga studio.  Towards the ocean, you look out over the 60 acre private Reserve, and, behind, the lot is surrounded by dense forest. Side views are to mountains.  It’s common to hear howler monkeys up here, and a creek running through the forest behind the lot adds to the ambience.   

The 0.57 hectare (1.4 acres) lot is accessed by a high-quality, gravel road. Water and electric are already in-place.

Lot #2 affords spectacular ocean and mountain views. There is a large, flat, solid, main building site, with plenty of space for a house and pool, guest house or yoga studio.  Towards the ocean, you look out over the 60 acre private Reserve, and, behind, the lot is surrounded by dense forest. The large, flat, solid, main building site was home to a caretaker’s cabin and has mature shrubs and fruit trees.  Easily accessed near the main entrance with room for house and pool with easy parking. Towards the ocean, you look out over the 60 acre private Reserve, and, on each side there are open views to forested mountains.    

The 0.78 hectare (1.9 acres) lot is accessed by a high-quality, gravel road. Water and electric are already in-place.    

Lot #6 has the largest, flat building site and sits on it’s own at the lower part of the farm. The building site is surrounded by dense forest where the land slopes away providing ocean views as well as great privacy. Easily accessed from the main entrance with room for house and pool with easy parking. Towards the ocean, you look out over the 60 acre private Reserve, and, on each side there are open views to forested mountains.

Lot #7 sits surrounded by forest with a medium sized building site and adjacent gently-sloping pasture that provides for a great location in the lower part of the farm. A footpath leads down to connect with other trails to the bubbling creek and forest viewing platform. The lot is easily accessed from the main entrance with room for house and pool with easy parking. Towards the ocean, you look out over the 60 acre private Reserve, and, on each side there are open views to forested mountains.

We love the idea of “tropicality”, the observation that life in the tropics differs from that of more temperate climes. As our favorite green architect Bruno Stagno puts it: “In the West, thinking is guided by Cartesian rationality of “I think therefore I am”; nevertheless, in the tropics, thinking is guided by another kind of rationality…conditioned by life and its strong relationship with nature”. A more applicable rationality, from writer Alejo Carpentier, is “We feel, therefore we exist”. We believe there is plenty of scope for creating a spectacular and delightful home in the tropics using simple, local materials by means of intelligent and fun designs that needn’t cost a great deal.
